Welcome to HotShot RP and our new landing page for our website! Old forums is still there but this will be the new landing page and your currently in our new "blog" area where we will post server updates, new features and all kinds off stuff of what's going on. For everyone who's new and has no clue of the past of Hot Shot it's been up and down, in population and other stuff, currently we are on stable position where server is always full on the evening and weekends but not with 30 player que as we had a few weeks ago.
So some might have noticed an increase in updates and development and that's mostly cause were focusing a lot on improving our current scripts to fresh up the server and make it more in-depth when it comes to script RP and have that help players be more creative when it comes to your own RP.
In-game development
What we've done lately is a new in-game phone that were currently working on to improve as it's still has a few bugs, this one will include a proper twitter and all other futures such as calling 911 and other stuff together with this we also launched an updated UI that is also in beta stage where we are working on improving it.
For more in-game stuff we are currently also working on a car pack as we announced in DC and we've received quite a few car requests and we are working on adding them now, at what time it will be released we don't know yet.
With this we are also reworking our legal jobs to bring more players towards this jobs and bring players away from illegal jobs a little bit, we updated our Taxi script not long ago where we reworked quite a few stuff and fixed a few bugs but we also increased the pay with over 1000% of what it was earlier to fit the current economy and our feature plans for the economy.
We are also reworking our LSIA job adding more in-depth AI flight that will include checklist, taxi, ATC and other aviation related stuff to increase the depth you get from doing legal jobs and at the same time be able to run RP flights flying players to different areas of the map.
Economy and Hacking
One of the biggest things we fight on a day to day basis is the economy and players hacking in money etc, today we have quite a few systems in place to prevent hacking including manual money inspections in the dB, but sadly that doesn't catch all and sometimes it's to late, we are currently adding more checks and admin logs to further prevent hacking and to be on top of it if someone is hacking. One thing we've added not so long ago is new admin logs to keep track of most of the stuff going on in the server and added more flags for suspicions actives, with this new system we also added in despawning of blacklisted vehicles when they are spawned to prevent them from being used in the server and same for blacklisted weapons, if a player obtains either of those they will be notified, item or car will be removed, their account will be flagged and admins will get notified in DC, this is to catch hackers early to make sure everyone can enjoy a hacker free server as much as possible. We also currently further improving our auto ban system to be more reliable. For the economy we are going to add in more expenses into the server such as tax, car tax and other stuff to make sure player have not only income but also expenses when playing, so they need to take care of what they buy and do with the money, this is to stabilize the economy and to make money to not grow on trees anymore.
Other stuff
Except for what I've already written we are also going over our scripts looking for and fixing bugs we can find and know about.
So we have quite a few stuff going on right now and hopefully this will bring a more enjoyable experience when playing on Hot Shot RP for everyone.
